Room For Living

The concept

Our suburban audience loves getting design inspiration and home improvement ideas – especially when it involves real-life transformations. Room For Living has become one of our most popular signature transformations and involves comprehensive editorial and promotional coverage in print and online. Throughout the six-week program, sponsors enjoy ongoing coverage while our readers turn to the Home & Garden section for expert advice on improving their living space, and have the opportunity to win a room makeover.

We start off the promotion by asking readers to share photos of their outdated living space. We then choose 15 finalists’ photos to use as example rooms for our five-week design series in Sunday Home & Garden. Each week, we feature a photo as part of a before and after transformation piece in which each sponsor has a chance to showcase their products and services. At the end of the five-week program, we select a finalist to receive the grand prize “Room for Living” makeover.
